Inspired by Bronwyn Bancroft

The Upper Primary students created awesome Aussie landscapes in the style of Aboriginal artist and illustrator Bronwyn Bancroft. Inspired by her amazing art works filled with pattern, symbol and colour, these students created striking A3 pieces of art with acrylic paints and paint pens.

Junk Sculpture

These students ranged from Kindy to Year 4 and had a wonderful time using recycled junk - collected in my home - to make either a Robot, Monster or Alien. They designed their project, glued it all together, painted it with acrylic paint and then 'blinged' it up with a selection of gems, stickers and washi tape.

Paper Sculpture

We learned different ways to attach paper to a surface to create some very cool sculpture. These tell a story as the students based placed the coloured paper designs according to their likes and dislikes, their pets and family, their travels and more.

In the Tall, Tall Grass

The Lower Primary students worked over several weeks to create different elements to add to this final collage piece. Each week we worked in a different medium to create critters we might find hiding in the tall grass, and of course we had our faces peering in to see what was there.

Ooh Owls

This holiday workshop sees the students make mixed media owls using acrylic paint, wax and wash and paper collage. They also get to make an airdrying clay 'folded' owl to take home and paint when it dries.

Powerful Powertex

Powertex is an amazing product with so many uses. It started out as a fabric hardener and has been adapted to act like a paint, a glue, a texture and even an air drying clay. These are just some of the projects we have worked on.

Inspired by Harry Potter

Harry Potter Fans love to create their own gnarly wand, a magical potion bottle and a beautiful dragon egg. We use Powertex and air drying clay.
